Doing the Right thing!

Have you ever been faced with the choice of doing something that you know is right in your heart, but have someone standing over you making those choices for you which are so wrong? Recently I know the feeling on the receiving end of this very scenerio. I am the victim, the one who has to pay because of a corporate decision that is made several miles away of my switching real estate companies. Because I choose to move my business to another company, the other company has it's hand out, wanting a referral fee on the very business that I created, cultivated and have nursed over many months. I am angry and hurt all at the same time as I did my job well. I represented them well. I paid for everything-they paid for NOTHING! I feel sorry for the ones who are stuck in the middle, having to tell people like me news like this. It does not ease my pain. It is wrong! And they know it, but could care less. It is sad that a company could be so desperate that they need to treat good people like me this way. Be careful who you deal with in the corporate world, as they will cut you like a knife and not look back.

Thursday & Wet Dogs

As a Realtor we have crazy hours most of the time...so sometimes we have an opportunity to take a half day off here and there, and today was my day. I decided that my 75lb puppy, Jackson needed a bath. I thought it would be fun. We headed to Feeders Supply in Springhurst to the DYI wash. Keep in mind that my loving puppy has been professionally trained at Duffy's (which is absolutely the best). We practice sitting, staying, heeling, walking and "All done" every chance we get and we do extremely well. As soon as we walked into the door everything this dog learned was out the window! He is still on a training collar, but that made no difference to him! We get into the wash station and he won't jump over the small wall...so I step inside so he will follow me, which he did and then when I stepped out, so did he, many times. I ended up with a rubber apron on, kicked off my shoes and had to get into the stall with him, skirt and all to bathe him! By the time I was done, after he "shook" the water off of himself, my hair was sticking straight up, dog hair all over me and I needed a bath! He whimpered and cried so badly that I thought something was wrong. As soon as I opened the door to go back into the store, he was the happiest dog on the planet! So we bought a new red bandana and headed straight to the treat section. I am such a sucker! All he has to do is look up at me with those big brown eyes and wag his tail. I think he has me wrapped around his big paws! What an afternoon off!

Wow-this is my first blog and I am so excited to be here!

Real Estate can really be fun! For buyers it is very important to choose the right agent to fit your needs, have your speed and enthusium and for you to be able to communicate with effectively. The same applies to your lender...be sure to do your homework! There are many different kinds of lenders out there, and as with anything else, some good and some bad. You are making the largest purchase you could ever make so research the company and the actual lender. It could mean getting or not getting the house of your dreams!
